Great at the counter. Thin everywhere else.

Your item library with its variations, stock counted per location, and your customer directory: from the exports in your Square dashboard.

One item library export covers both the catalog and the stock. Most shops are across in under an hour.

This is a Square item library export

We can tell from the columns and the file name.

Must fix

Row 84: this record has no name.

Nothing has been saved yet.

The till is excellent. The rest is an afterthought.

1

Square Online is a website attached to a POS

It works, and it stops at exactly the point where a proper online shop starts: no trade pricing, no purchase orders, no real reordering, no CRM.

2

You know what sold, not why or to whom

The customer directory holds names and emails. It does not hold the conversation, the quote, the complaint or the reason they stopped coming in.

3

Buying stock is still a spreadsheet

Square tells you what is low. It does not turn that into a purchase order, track what is on its way, or cost it when it lands.

What comes across

Everything in this list is something an importer we maintain actually reads out of your Square export. It is generated from that importer, so it cannot promise you something we do not do.

Keep the till. Put a real business behind it.

sparx takes the thing Square does best (stock counted honestly, per location) and puts a full commerce, purchasing and CRM system around it. Your three shops stay three shops, with three real counts.

What that changes

  • Stock arrives per location, not merged into one number you then have to re-count.

  • Unit costs come across, so margin reporting works on day one.

  • Reordering becomes purchase orders with expected dates and landed costs.

What does not come across

Every migration leaves something behind. Here is ours, so it is not a surprise halfway through.

  • Square Online site pages are rebuilt in the builder.

  • Modifiers and modifier sets become product options where they map cleanly; complex per-location pricing is re-created.

  • Loyalty balances and gift card balances stay behind.

Before you start

Still curious? Read the platform docs, browse the API spec, or book a 20-min architecture call. We don't do high-pressure demos.

No. Everything happens on a copy. You export a file, and your Square account carries on exactly as it is. Plenty of people run both for a few weeks before switching their domain over.

Bring it over

Export the file Square already makes for you, drop it in, and look at what would happen before anything is saved. One item library export covers both the catalog and the stock. Most shops are across in under an hour.
